This version of the Firefox is the last full-featured 
version that will work on Windows XP (ver 52 will also 
work, but it was a transitional release that stripped 
out some features in preparation for the revamped, 
non-Windows XP supported, version 53).  

You can not upgrade Windows XP to the newest versions 
of Internet Explorer, and most alternative browsers 
have also dropped support for Windows XP.  Because 
Firefox 51 fully supports CSS3 and HTML5, this makes 
an ideal final browser upgrade for Windows XP.  


NOTE: If you have become comfortable with the old 
look-n-feel of earlier versions of Firefox, you should 
consider getting the "Classic Theme Restorer" Add-On.
